Regeneration
Gum recession can occur from many causes but regardless of
the cause, recession can be treated by regeneration and/or augmentation of the
lost tissue, preventing further recession, sensitivity, bone loss or even loss
of the tooth.
When indicated, our practice will offer a technique for
treating gum recession, which does not require taking tissue from the palate.
A material called Emdogain, when used with a specific surgical procedure, will
help to promote predictable regeneration of periodontal tissues lost to disease
processes to help save and preserve teeth.
