Welcome to the website of Dr. Robert Glassgow. We are a
specialty practice committed to excellence. We strive to provide the highest
quality care in a friendly, comfortable, and compassionate environment. We
continually expand our training, providing the most advanced periodontal
therapies and esthetic periodontal treatment. We, as a team, are truly focused
on the well-being of our patients, and we promise to treat all of our patients
with respect, dedication and professionalism.
We are a private practice specializing in the diagnosis and
treatment of disorders and diseases of the gum tissue and the supporting
structures of the teeth. While we offer comprehensive periodontal care, we
place special emphasis on the non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease,
using the cutting edge technology of LANAP. We also emphasize the
esthetic/cosmetic smile enhancement periodontal procedures. We will provide our
patients with the highest quality of personalized care, using state of the art
technology and infection control in a cheerful relaxed environment.
Our practice is truly a referral practice that is based on
word-of-mouth referrals from both patients and other dentists. We often treat
members of the same family and some of our best new patients are referred by
some of our best existing patients.
We congratulate you on taking the first step toward better
periodontal health. You may have been referred by your dentist who determined
that you needed specialize periodontal treatment or possibly you have been
referred by a friend or desire a second opinion.
Dr. Glassgow believes that your right to choose a dentist
is an important freedom. We work closely with your dentist, but a referral by a
dentist is not required to visit our office. We also welcome referrals from
patients and friends of the practice
Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed. We
are here to listen to your concerns and to help provide solutions leading to
your better oral and general health. Please utilize this website as a
resource. It will help you better understand our office and what we have to

First Visit
Your initial exam will last approximately thirty minutes to
one hour. We will review your medical and dental history and perform a
comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums. In most cases during this
initial consultation, we will be able to provide a diagnosis of your periodontal
condition and propose a treatment plan to improve your dental health.
Because we know your time is important, we try to stay on
schedule to minimize waiting. Prior to your appointment, you will be mailed
health history and registration forms. These forms can also be downloaded from
this site.
Please assist us at the time of your first visit to our
office by providing the following information:

Any x-rays from your referring dentist (if given)

A list of medications you are currently taking

Your dental insurance card, if insured
Please arrive approximately 20 minutes prior to your
consultation so that we can verify any information.
If you pre-medicate with antibiotics for dental
appointments due to a heart murmur, artificial heart valve or joint replacement,
please do so for this appointment.
A parent or guardian must accompany patients under 18 to
this consultation appointment.

Scheduling
Dr. Glassgow is available Monday through Thursday from
8:30am to 5:00pm. We will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible.
Depending on your needs your first visit may take 45 to 90 minutes. If you have
pain or an emergency situation, every attempt will be made to see you that day.
We make every attempt to stay on schedule to minimize
waiting at the time of your appointment. Referral of emergency patients can
cause delays to the schedule, and your understanding and patience are very much
appreciated.
Financial Information
Our doctor and staff are proud to be a team whose primary
mission is to deliver the finest and most advanced periodontal services
available today. We are concerned about your dental care and want to ensure
that it is performed in the most responsible manner. In order to assist you
with the investment in your dental health, we have outlined our payment policy.
Emergency/Single
Visit Payments
For single-visit procedures, our policy is that payment is
due in full at the time of service. For your convenience we accept cash,
checks, money orders and credit card payment (MasterCard or Visa).
Insurance Information
Our insurance coordinators deal with many different
insurance companies. Some companies offer many different dental and medical
plans. These companies can change benefits, co-pays and deductibles many times
throughout the year. We do our best to provide you with accurate coverage
estimates based on information available to us. At times, it is almost
impossible to accurately estimate our patients’ insurance co-payment. Many
insurance companies will not give out fees until after the treatment is
completed. Dealing with these companies can be difficult and time consuming.
As a courtesy, we ask that you keep us informed of any change to your
insurance. It is important that all information about you and your insurance is
current.
